[JDEV] SOT : any ICQ-gateway that work ??

AOL is blocking jabber.org, that doesn't help matters. Plus our gateway
code is in a state of disrepair (the developers who originally created the
transports have basically moved on to other projects). Besides, gateways
are a hack. There is no "by default" when we're translating into all these
proprietary formats and the big IM vendors can change their protocols at
will. We need the equivalent of SMTP for IM. Until that happens, nothing
about interoperability will happen easily or by default.
