Id like to hear the arguments. Especially if they are using pythons
expat bindings too.

Its not broken.

Its does. As far as jabberpy's concerned your local encoding is what
ever you set you Python encoding too. If this is set to 'ascii' then
accented chars will turn into ?'s , which is of course conversion from
UTF-8 to 'local' encoding.
