[JDEV] [Fwd: [jadmin] karma]

I sent this to jadmin last week and received no responses. I had a user
who kept getting disconnected, but his presence wasn't always updated.
The logs looked like his IP was running out of karma, so I adjusted the
karma settings, and he hasn't been booted since. But I'm still not sure
if that was the right thing to do.

If a user were to run out of karma, what would that look like from the
client's point of view? If the socket is closed, is a warning sent over
the socket first. Is there anything in place to mark any users connected
over that socket as offline before closing the socket?
