Thanks Peter,

I have the source code to hyperstr.

Now I have the following:

Build
  [Warning] HyperStr.pas(16074): Symbol 'DebugHook' is specific to a
platform
  [Warning] Roster.pas(66): Symbol 'IJabberRosterEvents' is specific to a
platform
  [Fatal Error] Session.pas(55): File not found: 'IdSSLIntercept.dcu'
  [Fatal Error] Session.pas(55): File not found: 'IdSSLIntercept.dcu'

Which is related to the indy components. According to
http://www.nevrona.com/Indy/Teams/Docs/diffs/Units.html
the IdSSLIntercept was deleted between indy 8 and 9.

should I try to downgrade to indy 8 or is there another workaround?

Ray -

You don't need to open/compile the XMLCom project... it was an encapsulation
of JUST the XML stuff which JabberCOM uses. If you want to compile just
JabberCOM, simply open that project and compile it.

NOTE: I haven't tried to compile JabberCOM on anything newer than Delphi 5
Prof, since thats what I used to develop it. I'm not sure if the string
libraries (HyperStr) have been ported to the newer compilers.
