most likely you changed the file in notepad like i did,
you need to do save as from notepad and save as a unicode text file instead
of the default
or at least that was my problem
good luck!

Subject: [JDEV] Jabberd server
I am trying to get your jabberd server up and running under Windows 2000. I
changed jabber.xml to remove localhost and put my ip address in instead.
Now when I run jabberd I get a message:
"C:\PROGRA~1\JabberD>jabberd -H .
Configuration parsing using jabber.xml failed: unclosed token at line 19 and
column 2"
Suggestions?
Thanks,
Randy
