I'd have to respectfully disagree there... I don't want a
one-size-fits-all world, and I relish the diversity of
clients available right now.
I do have to and say that I didn't come to Jabber with any
IM baggage - I wasn't a previous user of any of the commercial
systems...
Then again, the argument holds for other clients too - I
couldn't imagine anything worse than having to use, say,
MS-Outlook for my mail; a team of horses couldn't drag me
away from mutt.
So, I guess it boils down to the old chestnut "horses for courses"
on this front..
