[JDEV] xdb_sql and presence notification

I've been developing client software for jabber and something very weird
happened.
Before instaling xdb_sql, other users always got my presence notification
(after I send <presence> tag).
BUT, after I installed it, I just can't get other users notificated about my
presence.
I've tested starting and stoping xdb_sql, and the result is always the same.
Well, theoretically there's no relation between these two things...but
that's what's happening...
any ideas?
