And then this almost forgotten but still very much alive language
Smalltalk, especially the open source variant Squeak (squeak.org). It
even runs on a Playstation II.
There are two partially complete Jabber clients written in Squeak, but
both at this time not really publicly available.
Just to add to the language war ;-)
