[JDEV] Good jabber client needed (was: Response to Jer's Article)

I'm new to this list and new to jabber also.

I am building a jabber client as a work task. I'm developing an on-line
comunity/portal here in Portugal and i find lack of documentation on
aplication building. I'm using Delphi 5 with the jabberCOM dll. My first
objective is to release a portuguese version of the client to satisfy my
work demand but afterwards i'm planning on translate it to english and to
'open source' it.

Any one have documentation of some sort (papers, web, etc)  that i can dig
on? It would be very helpfull.
