[JDEV] Libfaim source, GPL/JOSL, etc

Sorry if this has been asked (and if there's a better forum, let me know),
but what is the difference between the libfaim snapshot at
http://download.jabber.org/dists/transports/aim-transport/libfaim-snap.tar.g
z and the libfaim code from http://www.zigamorph.net/faim/
hosted in cvs at http://sourceforge.net/cvs/?group_id=920

I notice the jabber.org libfaim has the c filenames changed to prepend
"aim_". Is this from an older version of libfaim? I assume the jabber.org
libfaim is mainly modified to run within the jabber aim transport layer.

Finally, (I'm still a little confused about the jabber licensing - JOSL,
GPL, LGPL, sorry) the jabber transports appear to be GPL but jabber.org
server is JOSL, is this true? (and libfaim is LGPL).
