[JDEV] AIM and ICQ Transports

Hi,

I have a few questions/suggestions/complaints about the AIM and ICQ
transports.

First, I find that sometimes (all the time?) the AIM transport doesn't
send presence when AIM users change their status. Even logging out of
the transport and back in doesn't update their status, only logging
out of Jabber altogether. Something similar was mentioned in
http://mailman.jabber.org/pipermail/jdev/2001-March/005680.html, but I
don't know if it's the same issue.

I would also prefer that the AIM transport only send autoresponses
once to each user, or once every so many minutes. It's nice that it
can send autoresponses, but it annoys the heck out of AIM users to get
an autoresponse to every single message they send me when I'm away.

It is nice, though, that the AIM transport will send me AIM users'
away messages with their presence. I wish the ICQ transport did that.

I also wish the ICQ transport would send presence info to each
resource when multiple resources log in. This was mentioned in
http://mailman.jabber.org/pipermail/jdev/2001-April/006290.html, but I
haven't seen any more about it--is it being fixed?

Thanks,
Mike
