So a classpath of "org.jabelin.whatever"?  That kind of implies a domain of 
"whatever.jabelin.org", right?

Well, D. Smith and temas are spearheading (heh-heh) jabelin.  

It would be good to have a concensus develop about what the basic 
requirements are for both Jabelin and whatever it is we've been talking about 
here.  

Couple of Jabelin questions:

The vision document is a nice start ... what comes next?  Is Jabelin limited 
in scope to a re-implementation of the current server?  Is it a requirement 
that Jabelin interoperate with jabberd?

My opinion is that we do whatever will advance the cause and not worry if the 
new doesn't work with the old.
