[JDEV] Problem: Session not being removed for AIM/ICQ

I need to set a user's status to Offline.
So I set their 'Presence' to 'unavailable' and then I do a disconnect from
the Jabber server.

The Jabber server correctly acknowledges this request. But the AIM transport
shows an "active resources, not ending session" message, and ICQ shows a
"session KeepAlive" message.

Looking at the Offline/Online status of a user in AIM/ICQ client
applications, I noticed that only by killing the Linux AIM/ICQ transport
processes do the AIM/ICQ clients actually realize that a user has gone
offline.

Programmatically how can I set/correct the user's Online/Offline status in
real time ?
