Now here's my problem: the clients.  It took me quite some time to
find a client that seems to work well and now that I have, it seems
that inter-server communication from jabber.at where I am to
jabber.org where people I know are is currently broken.  Is that
accurate?  

Until I either find someone else on jabber.at, it seems I've no way of
knowing if this Jabber client works, but at least it compiles.
