[JDEV] FLASH ?

I'd lost last night's mail and can't access the original thread on this topic

I'm not very familiar with the jabber transport architecture but will investigate
to determine whether this is a viable way of approaching the problem - null byte
handling.  This would seem preferable to the other options I'd mentioned.

TCL and C tend to play  well together
