[JDEV] Has anyone ever actually TESTED this ?????

My _guess_ is that it is the xdb_thump function which JSM uses
extensively. IIRC, there where issues with it if you used anything
besides xdb_file to handle requests...now, my brain is pretty fried
at the moment, so that might not even make sense.. :)
