[JDEV] group chat in 1.4 server

All the transports will run with the final release of 1.4, but I'm not
sure that they all run with 1.4pre1 (released yesterday). As for
documentation, I am working to make sure that we have an up-to-date
howto available at the same time that 1.4 final is released.
Unfortunately, right now I haven't even been able to install 1.4pre1
because of a bug in the install script. :)
