I believe the only current jabber server runs in *n*x enviroments, so, although these resources would be fine for a low volume server (I have a 486 runnning for my home network), you also need to install a win32 unix emaulation layer like cygwin and this may eat up space/resources. Alternatively...<shameless plug>...you could install debian...(the CD Images work well if u r prepared to download them...certainly better than using disks and downloading from the bootstrapper)...and 'apt-get install jabber'...</shameless plug>...sadly the isntall program has a bit of a learning curve (same applies with cygwin I expect)...so you could go with mandrake or redhat (but do enjoy the package dependency problems)

ps. Hope this helps
