[JDEV] Jabber Web-Pager App(lette)?

I know there have been a few people working on Java Jabber clients etc, but
I would interested to know if anyone has developed (or are working on) a
web-pager app similar to the ICQ one.

For those that are not familiar with the concept, it is a small form you can
put on your homepage/website/wherever so that visitors to your site can send
you a message. You can see the ICQ one at their site
http://www.icq.com/panels/webpanel (you can generate the code for your page
here). There is also similar feature that displays a graphic on your page
that shows if you are online or not.

Ideally it would be nice if you could set your account (server or client
side, but server would be nicer) to accept web messages only from a select
number of IP addresses (ie your homepage) to prevent the ICQ Web Message
Spam problem. (Although not having sequential numbers will help here also).

The other security issue is if you have you online status on your web page,
anyone who you are invisible to will be able to check to see if you are
really there.

Michael.
