[JDEV] jabber:x:envelope

I'm looking for details on jabber:x:envelope.

I'm thinking of using envelopes to add details to our jids.  We're 
probably going to use our database user ids as jids 
(ex. 123-456 at jabberserver...) but that's not descriptive to the end user, 
so I thought I could send the first/last name in the envelope and our
client would present that info... "Joe Blow would like to subscribe to
your presence" - Joe Blow appears instead of 123-456...  Does that sound
right?
