Why is the roster reply not nestled? That would IMHO be the most general
solution:

<group name="asd">
	<item ...
	<group...
	</group>
</group>

I also thinks that the agents reply should come fully expanded. (At least
when querying the top-server)
I guess that the first thing most clients do when logging on is requesting
the agents-tree recursively?

I actually had to write some extra lines of code to stop users from 
nestling groups =(
