[JDEV] mutiple make failuer with jabber-transport 1.0.1 on solaris 2.6

I got this error with unreferenced symbol.. 
recognize where this one should be at?

 symbol                             in file
inet_pton                           polld.o

make -ot option is not avaliable for the sunfreeware.com 
solaris 2.6 gnu make and cause the compilation to fail..
make me to edit the Makefile manually.. 

the make on solaris will not work with adns Makefile

hmm.. 
anyone got jabber 1.0.1 to work on any platform?
