[JDEV] groupchat and Jabber 1.2

It looks like all IDs must be lower case and have no spaces.  I ran into
the same problem.  Now my problem is

20001031T14:44:43: [alert] (groupchat-transport): Recv'd invalid namespace. Stopping component.

when i start jabberd.

If I run the component by hand, I get 

<?xml version='1.0'?><stream:stream
xmlns:stream='http://etherx.jabber.org/streams' id='39FEDB5D'
xmlns='jabberd:sockets'>

What's happening here?
