I think these guys should look at creating a web server with Java support
for their platform. It would solve their issues, and save them from the
issues of custom code, distribution of updates, etc., etc., etc.
I've worked on Interactive TV systems before, so I know what fun it can be
to have custom code sitting on your set top box.
