[JDEV] Installation of jabber-1.2

Hi,
	I am new to jabber and am carrying out a project for college. 
When I attempt to install Libxode-1.2 it configures,makes and 
installs without any problems but when I try to install libjabber-1.2 I 
receive an error message that libxode-1.2 is not installed and the 
file libxode-config cannot be located.

I installed it succesfully on an older version of linux and I am trying 
RedHat-6.1 at the moment. Any suggestions??
