Subject: New Jabber Server 1.2 setup

Hi, wondering if anyone can help to explain this to me.

I just set up a new Jabber Server 1.2 using the latest release of the 1.2 source.
Compile was fine, and I could get the jabberd daemon running.

I started my jabber server as perfecttalk.com, and I could use JabberIM as a client and registered a new account with my server.

However, after I get connected to my Jabber Server using JabberIM, using login name as 'happiedwf', I get the following error in the error.log:
20001107T04:46:16: [warn] (update.jabber.org): xdb_file failed to open file ./spool/update.jabber.org/959967024.xml: No such file or directory

Thereafter, when I try to send a message out to an unlisted user on jabber.com or jabber.org, I get a Error Code='404' Not found message. The following appeared in my error.log:

20001107T04:49:41: [notice] (update.jabber.org): server connection timed out
20001107T04:49:41: [notice] (update.jabber.org): bouncing a packet to 959967024 at update.jabber.org/0.9.6.78 from happiedwf at perfecttalk.com/JabberIM: (null)
20001107T04:50:38: [warn] (jabber.com): xdb_file failed to open file ./spool/jabber.com/happiedwf.xml: No such file or directory
20001107T04:51:53: [notice] (jabber.com): legacy server outgoing connection established

After some time, the message arrives at the target user. However, when I try to send the message again to the user, it never arrives.

Regards
Vincent
