Ok, I don't want to give you an exact number, but I'll give you some figures
to play with. Each connection to the server is going to require ~40K of
overhead. This includes: socket, pth, and any modules in jserver.
Next you need to examine, how fast, and how complex of msgs people are sending
this is what the processor is mostly good for. I've run on my K6-2 300 with
128M ram and had about 2000 users sending simple msgs REALLY fast. I handled
it fine, no slow down. This was ran while running X and a few netscapes.
Think about those numbers some.
