  Sick idea just to throw it out there.  What if the server included an XSL
stylesheet processor?  Making a XSL 'script' that can take a given
extention, and convert it to plain text, is really not all that difficult.
That way no duplication would be needed.  On the other hand, a mod_xsl
modules would need to be created, and almost required in a given environment
to ensure that a message delivered to a resource that does not support xhtml
can be converted to plain text on behalf of the client before delivery..

    Not saying it's a good idea, or even a solution, just wanted to throw it
out there..
