[JDEV] FreeBSD

Well I guess I should apologize for any build problems cause their really my
fault.  I've built it on a FreeBSD box pretty straight up (made a few changes
before the 1.0 release) using gmake and bash.  If you all find any definate
build bugs, please please please let me know.  Thanks.
