[JDEV] User list/search?

I am not getting any good results when I try to have our internal
jabber server search for users. Is there any documentation on
how to configure this?

I duplicate the users.jabber.org setting in the jserver.xml file.
The service shows up, but displays various "not found" errors when
I try and use it. The service is "jud", but I cannot find any 
references to it in the jabber package, and cannot find anything
on the projects page.

Is jud built into the server? Am I even asking the right questions?
