Boy the person who can come with software that does this will 
make a bazillion dollars :).

The best that I know of is babelfish from Altavista. See 
babelfish.altavista.com.

While primarily it translates web pages, I know it used to translate 
text you entered into a box. You might be able to hack something 
around it.
