[JDEV] ldap integration update

Hi,
Sorry for the delay in an update and getting code out on our CVS 
site but I was gone most of last week on business & at my day job 
we're getting ready for a big software upgrade plus it's the start of a 
new semester (I work for a major university).

In any case we (actually most of the actual coding was done by 
sheath) got plaintext LDAP authentication work this week. I've got 
digest authentication partly working (well it searches the server, it 
just isn't retrieving the password yet ;).
