[JDEV] Starting Group Chat

I have a couple of dumb questions :-)
I am confused about the configuration:
jid="conference.usel"
Is this a real server name, or a resource (transport).
I assume that the usel part of the name deals with
the hostname usel.fc.hp.com, but I cannot determine
what the conference. signifys in the jid name.

I took a while to figure out that there was no "group-chat.xml"
file, so the hints given here helped a lot. If the conference.
part is a real hostname, then I need to add it to DNS. I did
notice that if I started the groupchat exe without a different
"name" from the base server name I got a "connection to
etherxd was rejected - transport access denied" error.

The README also states that you should either set up dso:
<dso init='gc_init'>/path/to/your/gc_trans.so</dso>
or use the socket method (I think this is the command line
mode). Needless to say, I am very close to getting a lot of
this working...

Think of it as evolution in action.
