Ryan, can you actually connect to jabber.org? there is an irc transport now,
you can get on that way (it is a groupchat)

:)

Winjab has support for it (although selection is a bit tricky), Gabber
should have support for it really soon based on the really cool work Dave
and everyone else is doing.

If you would like an explaination of how to do it via winjab, drop me a
line.
