[JDEV] jabber:iq:auth Digest question

I'm having problems getting the digest feature in iq:auth to work.  What
format is it expecting?  Binary, Hex, Base64?

When I send Hex or Base 64 I get a response back from the server saying
Unauthorized Access which means it's probably not one of those formats.

When I send Binary I get a stream error telling me that I have malformed
XML.  Obviously I'm either sending the binary incorrectly, or something.
