Well, if you use kerberos, you might even get MIT or SIPB ("hacker" group at
MIT) to throw some support behind jabber. Afterall they developed kerberos,
and that's what zephyr[http://web.mit.edu/zephyr] (they're messaging system,
formerly used at CMU and caltech, mosly surpassed by gale[http://gale.org])
uses.

heck, then maybe PBnJ would make sense (it's modeled after zephyr)
