I have been following the traffic of JDEV for a while now, and, As usual,
Tom makes some very valid points. However, I think that he may have made
them a
little pre-mature. It seems to me that having a "presence" based system
that Jabber can work with is a wonderful idea. I think that the "guise"
transport that Scott is working on will come a long way in addressing the
issue of "presence". However to me, the most important thing to me seems
that we get the current system "done". Or in so much as having a better
foundation before we start building that skyscraper. :)
