[JDEV] UID proposal

Oy!

Ok, I'm "ok" with this, however I would prefer that the transport be
specified via the domain name and not a reserved keyword. I remember we
found and issue with this in a previous discussion (I'm a bit tired to
search the archives) so I'll only officially register this as a "warning."
