The wonder of jabber is, it doesn't matter what anyone thinks.. It can quite literally support anything anyone wants..
One LDAP idea I was thinking of that would be VERY nice would be distributed servers. You could very easily be part of jabber.org, but have nh.us.jabber.org and wa.us.jabber.org be connecting to the same LDAP user data..
